Pralines should never be refrigerated or left in hot environments. Store in a cool dry place. Pralines are best when consumed immediately and will stay good for up to two weeks. Pralines (all flavors) are subject to a crystallization process-the sugar turning back to its original form. It happens at the time the candy is made resulting in white spots in the finished product. Don't worry this is common in this type of candy and doesn't have any effect on the great flavor. Pralines are best devoured within 2 weeks. The Creole Pretzels/Pecans and Peanut Brittle have a little more resistance to heat than other confections however Chay J's would recommend that you also keep in a cool dry place. They last approximately 3-4 weeks. The Gourmet Pies will be freshly made and frozen immediately before being shipped. Pies that arrive completely frozen or partially frozen should be allowed to thaw up to 24 hours (can be placed in the refrigerator until thawed). They may be warmed in the microwave by the slice as needed. The pies should last 5-7 days. Of course refrigeration last longer. If left frozen, it could last up to one month. The Chocolate Covered Strawberries are extremely perishable and should be definitely eaten immediately. However, the chocolate will serve as a natural preservative and if refrigerated will last up to 2 days. Local Delivery (Metro Atlanta) |
